Glen Orchy House has most of the facilities you need to truly relax during your visit to Lerwich and the Shetland Islands.
This unique building originates in 1904, when it was built as a convent for the Episcopalian church and known as the House of Charity. In the 1920s, the building became a rectory for Lerwick’s St Magnus Church and remained this way until 1969, when it became privately owned.
Glen Orchy House was taken over as a guest house in 1991, when it was carefully restored to create modern and welcoming accommodation whilst retaining the original style, features and character of the building.
